Kazma and Al Arabi players battle for the ball.

KUWAIT CITY, March 9: The Zain Premier League concluded its eighteenth and final round, adding the finishing touches by determining the sixth team entering the championship group, the “Big Six League.” Simultaneously, it unveiled the fourth team securing a spot in the “Four” League to avoid relegation, with Al-Fahaheel set to compete in the “Six” after a 4-1 victory over Al-Salmiya, elevating its points to 23. This pushed Kazma down to seventh place, losing to Al-Arabi by a single goal, ending their previous score at 20 points.

The Big Six group featured Kuwait Club leading, with 43 points, Al-Arabi in second with 42 points, Al-Qadisiya securing third place with 39 points, Al-Salmiya at 24 points, narrowly edging out Al-Nasr in goal difference, and Al-Fahaheel claiming the sixth spot with 23 points. The Four-League group, focused on avoiding relegation, consists of Kazma (20 points), Al-Shabab (14 points), Khaitan (12 points), and Al-Jahra at the bottom with 8 points.

The commencement of the first round for both the Six-League and the Four-League is scheduled for the middle of this week. Matches in both groups will follow a home-and-away system, with the team amassing the most points claiming the league title. Meanwhile, the third- and fourth-place finishers in the “Avoid Relegation” League will face relegation to the First Division League next season, while the remaining two continue in the Premier League.

Kuwait, the defending champion, celebrated another victory, while Al-Arabi persisted in its pursuit of the leader, as did Al-Qadisiya. On the other hand, Al-Jahra revived its survival hopes with two consecutive victories, contrasting with Kazma, which faced disappointment by failing to secure a spot in the Big Six and losing its eighth match in the competition.
