KUWAIT CITY, Oct 3: FIFA) has confirmed the legitimacy of Sultan Al-Enezi's contract and registration with Dhofar of Oman, following the termination of his contract with his previous club, Al-Arabi.
Sultan announced last September that he had unilaterally terminated his contract with Al-Arabi due to the club's delays in providing his outstanding financial dues. He subsequently signed with Dhofar Club, prompting Al-Arabi to issue a warning to the Omani club regarding the potential consequences of this contract. Upon receiving FIFA's confirmation of Sultan's contract with Dhofar, he arrived in Muscat and received a temporary card, allowing him to play for the Omani team for the remainder of the current season.
In a statement released, Al-Arabi reiterated its warning regarding the signing of Sultan. The club clarified that the issuance of a temporary card by FIFA does not constitute a final decision but rather a standard procedure until the matter is resolved between the two parties. The statement further noted, "Al-Arabi reserves the right to appeal and will seek clarification regarding the decision to issue a temporary card. We will continue to pursue legal actions to protect the club's interests."
