Al-Dajeej Crackdown: 63 Arrested in Kuwait’s Multi-Agency Security Blitz

KUWAIT CITY, Sep 19: In line with the Ministry of Interior’s efforts to enhance public security and apprehend violators, the Criminal Security Affairs Sector, under the direct supervision of Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs, Major General Hamed Manahi Al-Dawas, carried out a large-scale security campaign in the Al-Dajeej area of Farwaniya Governorate.

The campaign was conducted in cooperation with multiple government bodies, including the General Fire Force, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Kuwait Municipality, and the Public Authority for Manpower. The operation aimed to target violators across several sectors while ensuring strict field follow-up and joint enforcement.

Key Results of the Campaign:

  • Public Authority for Manpower: Issued 23 notices to rectify occupational safety violations.
  • Kuwait Municipality: Recorded 2 violations for unauthorized use of space, issued 34 warnings, filed 18 reports related to scrap, placed 40 abandoned vehicle stickers, and documented 3 advertising violations.
  • Ministry of Commerce and Industry: Closed down 1 café and issued 38 violation reports against non-compliant establishments.
  • Arrests: A total of 63 individuals were apprehended, including 47 for labor law violations, 9 without identification documents, 6 with prior absence reports, and 1 with an expired work visa.
  • General Fire Force: 76 fire safety violations issued

The Ministry of Interior emphasized that these joint security campaigns will continue across different regions of Kuwait in coordination with relevant authorities. The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the rule of law, ensuring public safety, and applying legal measures equally to all without exception.
