KUWAIT CITY, Jan 30: The Director General of the General Sports Authority, Yousef Abdullah Al-Baidan, has affirmed the completion of the Authority's plan regarding sports facilities and infrastructure. This comprehensive plan is set to be incorporated into the government's work program following approval from the Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Daoud Marafie. The initiative encompasses the development of various sports stadiums and closed halls tailored for both individual and group games. Additionally, a new law for sports professionalism, aligned with global sports advancements, is included in the plan.

During his on-site inspections at Sulaibikhat Stadium, Al-Baidan addressed concerns raised on social media regarding a flaw in the main hall of the stadium. He acknowledged the existence of obstructed viewing angles and assured that corrective measures will be implemented in the upcoming period without compromising the project timeline or power delivery.

Al-Baidan emphasized the need for an immediate joint meeting involving the Authority's Installations, Maintenance, and Utilities Sector, along with engineers from the implementing company and the contractor. The objective is to generate a comprehensive report addressing the identified defect within a month.
