KUWAIT CITY, Oct 18: Kazma Sports Club’s volleyball team maintained its lead in the Federation Championship standings with an impressive 3–1 victory over Al-Arabi in one of the most anticipated matches of the 13th round, held at the Kuwait Volleyball Association Hall in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex.

In other results from the same round, Burgan swept Al-Shabab 3–0, Kuwait Club cruised past Al-Sulaibikhat with the same score, and Qadsia defeated Al-Nasr 3–0.

With this win, Kazma continues to soar at the top of the table with a perfect 17 points from six straight victories. Kuwait Club follows in second place with 15 points, while Qadsia and Burgan share third and fourth with 14 points each. Al-Shabab is fifth with 11 points, Al-Yarmouk sixth with 6, Al-Arabi seventh with 5, Al-Sulaibikhat eighth with 2, and Al-Nasr remains ninth without a point.

Kazma Volleyball Team Manager Khaled Al-Bahwah credited the team’s strong start to the combined efforts of the coaching staff, management, and players, emphasizing that the club’s consistent support has been key to its success.

Al-Bahwah praised the team’s Brazilian professionals, Costa and Ademar, for their high-level performances, noting that they have exceeded expectations. He also highlighted Abdullah Al-Mulla as a significant addition who has strengthened the squad.

“Our ambitions go beyond the Federation Championship,” Al-Bahwah affirmed. “We’re aiming to compete for every title this season. We’re also preparing for our international participation in the Arab Clubs Championship next January, for which we’ll hold an overseas training camp to ensure top-level preparation.”
