Al-Arabi coach Nasser Al-Shatti.

KUWAIT CITY, May 27: Al-Arabi Club President Abdulaziz Ashour has announced the renewal of Coach Nasser Al-Shatti's contract, ensuring his position at the helm of the team's technical leadership for the upcoming season.

During the regular general assembly, Ashour also mentioned that the administrative staff's status will be determined at the season's end. He commended the administrative staff for their hard work and dedication throughout the season and praised the efforts of both the technical and administrative staff across all club activities.

Regarding professional players, Ashour confirmed that Moroccan player Hamza Khaba will continue with Al-Arabi in the new season. He also stated that the club is actively working to attract high-caliber professionals to strengthen the team and make a significant impact in the Premier League.

However, Ashour did not comment on the future of Nigerian professional Anayo Iweala, Moroccan Walid Sabar, Tunisian Ayman Sfaxien, and Algerian Imad Eddine Boubacar.

Addressing Al-Arabi's participation in the Asian Challenge Cup, Ashour expressed surprise at any skepticism, noting that the decision for the league champion and runner-up to participate in international competitions was made in May 2022 and is well-documented in Federation records. He emphasized that participating in the Asian Championship is a right of the Al-Arabi Club.

Ashour also highlighted that preparations for the new season are in full swing, with training set to begin on June 23. The team will then head to an external training camp in mid-July before returning for friendly matches and the start of league matches on August 9.
