RIYADH, May 25: Media reports reveal that Al-Ahli Saudi Club has made a surprising move at the close of the current season by approaching Spanish coach Xavi Hernández with an offer to take over as head coach starting next season. The decision comes as the club plans to part ways with current German manager Matthias Jaissle.
Al-Ahli, currently sitting fifth in the Roshen League and recently crowned AFC Champions League winners, is reportedly eager to secure Xavi’s services after he departs from FC Barcelona in June 2024.
However, negotiations could prove challenging due to the substantial financial terms reportedly being sought by the 45-year-old tactician.
