Kuwait City, May 25: As part its distinctive partnership with Kuwait Football Association, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK) recently sponsored the semi-final and final football matches of HH the Amir Cup, won by Qadsia SC. 

This sponsorship is in line with ABK’s ongoing commitment to support sports in Kuwait, specifically football which is considered the most popular both locally and worldwide. This endeavor contributes to the advancement of local football that positively impacts Kuwait in the FIFA World Rankings.

During the football matches, ABK took the opportunity to continue in its efforts to support the Central Bank of Kuwait and Kuwait Banking Association’s ‘Let’s Be Aware’ campaign to help raise financial literacy through displaying content on the stadium’s screens.

On this occasion, Sager Albenali, Chief Communications Officer at ABK, commented, “HH the Amir Cup is considered amongst the most anticipated league. This sponsorship stems from our belief in the significance and popularity enjoyed by Kuwaiti football clubs across all segments of society.”

He emphasized that ABK’s comprehensive CSR initiatives are focused at partnering with various parties from different sectors to be a main contributor that attracts large audiences from all age groups.

Furthermore, Albenali stressed on the special attention ABK places on sports activities as part of its CSR endeavors that aim at encouraging everyone to engage in physical activities to increase their fitness level and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
