KUWAIT CITY, Oct 11: In a strong show of community solidarity and civic responsibility, Ahmadi Governorate on Friday launched its sixth blood donation campaign under the patronage and attendance of Ahmadi Governor Sheikh Hamoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, who personally underwent the necessary tests to donate blood as part of the event.

Held under the slogan “A Drop of Your Blood, A Life for Others,” the campaign ran from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and witnessed an enthusiastic public response. A total of 152 blood bags were collected, reflecting a heightened awareness among citizens and residents of the importance of voluntary blood donation and its role in supporting Kuwait’s national blood reserves.

Speaking to KUNA during the campaign, Governor Sheikh Hamoud Al-Sabah commended the high turnout, describing it as a positive indication of the community’s commitment to saving lives and supporting national health initiatives. He expressed his appreciation for the collective efforts of all the entities and volunteers that contributed to the success of the campaign.

The governor extended special thanks to the Ministry of Health, represented by the Blood Transfusion and Emergency Medical Services Departments, as well as the Commercial Bank of Kuwait, Tamdeen Group, The Warehouse Mall management, and other public and private sector supporters for their vital roles in facilitating the campaign and fostering a culture of generosity and compassion within society.

The initiative underscores Ahmadi Governorate’s continued dedication to humanitarian efforts and its role in enhancing public health awareness and volunteer engagement across the community.
