KUWAIT CITY, June 4: On Wednesday morning, Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Qahtani, Acting Chief of the General Fire Force, paid a visit to victims injured in a fire that erupted early last Sunday in a residential building located in the Al-Rai (Al-Raqi’i) area. The victims are currently receiving treatment at the Saud Al-Babtain Burn Center.
The fire, which broke out in the early hours of Sunday, caused significant damage to the residential building, leading to multiple injuries and prompting an emergency response from the General Fire Force. Authorities quickly contained the blaze, but several residents suffered burns and other injuries in the incident.
Brigadier Al-Qahtani was accompanied during the visit by Brigadier General Mohammed Bader Ibrahim, Director of the Public Relations and Media Department, and Colonel Dr. Fayez Abdulaziz Ahmed, Director of the Health Affairs Department.
During the visit, Brigadier Al-Qahtani reviewed the medical conditions of the injured and expressed satisfaction with the quality of care being provided at the specialized burn center. He emphasized the Fire Force’s dedication to monitoring the recovery of the victims and pledged ongoing support for them and their families throughout the healing process.
The General Fire Force continues to investigate the cause of the fire and remains committed to enhancing fire safety and emergency response measures to prevent future tragedies.
