AAW announces The North Face Challenge 2018 registration open

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 20: Ali Abdulwahab Al Mutawa Commercial Co (AAW) and The North Face, one of the world’s largest outdoor apparel and gear retailers, today announced opening registration for the sixth edition of The North Face Challenge. People interested in participating can register by visiting www.events.pro-vision.com.

The Challenge is Kuwait’s toughest multi discipline athletic competition and will be held on Feb 3, 2018 at Al-Mutla’a desert, located north of Kuwait. Participants will compete on a 17km trail run in the middle of the desert in two categories, Female and Male where they will endure a 2:45:00-hour athletic challenge.

AAW General Manager, Ali F. Al Mutawa said: “The number of participants increases each year and AAW is expecting to break last year’s participation record in the sixth edition of the Challenge. This constant increase in number of participants pushes us to keep hosting this event. I would like to welcome this year’s participants and wish them good luck in this adventure.”

The North Face Challenge was launched by AAW in 2013 under the company’s outdoor brand The North Face, an American retailer of high-performance climbing and backpacking equipment catering to climbers, mountaineers, extreme skiers, snowboarders, endurance runners, and explorers.

Committed to bettering the community, AAW develops and supports athletic, sport and health initiatives, including marathons, programs and additional challenges like the Al Roudan Tournament and Fawzia Sultan Healthcare Network’s annual RunKuwait 10K charity race, in addition to The North Face Challenge.
