KUWAIT CITY, Sept 16: The highly anticipated Kuwait Badminton League 2024 is gearing up for its 9th edition, with the tournament set to commence on September 26, 2024, at IBAK Salwa. The title sponsor for this prestigious event -- which will run over four days on September 26 and 27, and October 3, and 4 -- is the KDD.

The Kuwait Badminton League is a prominent team event, featuring five competitive categories -- Professional Doubles (Men), Open Doubles (Men), Advanced Doubles (Men), Higher Intermediate (Men), and Mixed Doubles. The tournament is expected to draw hundreds of players from various clubs, showcasing the finest in badminton talent.

The excitement began with the captain auction held on September 9, 2024, at Saad Al Awzi School’s IBAK Gym. The six competing teams for this year are the Thanjai Ninjas led by Dr. Manimara Chozhan, the Shuttle Stingers led by Abdul Jabbar, Team 5.30 led by Hissam Ezzi, the Royal Stars led by Mr. Harsad, the USC led by Maheshwaran and ISA led by Roshan Sojan.

The player auction took place on September 13, 2024, at IBAK Gym, with team owners and captains demonstrating great enthusiasm and strategic acumen in selecting their players. The auction, managed by Sreenvas and supported by a dedicated team including Bobby, Tony, Joe, Raj, Abdul Latheef, Arun, Kareem, Ajay Kumar, Subin Varghese, and Abul Hassan, was a well-coordinated success.
