KUWAIT CITY, Dec 14:  The General Administration of Civil Aviation announced on Thursday that the anticipated total passenger traffic for the New Year holiday period, spanning from December 28 to January 1, is projected to reach 192,000 passengers, both departing from and arriving at Kuwait International Airport.

Abdullah Al-Rajhi, the Director of the Air Transport Department and the official spokesperson for Civil Aviation, shared with Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that there is a 13 percent increase in passenger traffic during this New Year holiday compared to the same period last year when it stood at 178,000 passengers.

Al-Rajhi further explained that the expected aircraft movement during this specified period is set to reach 1,780 flights, a notable increase from the 1,300 flights recorded in the corresponding period last year. He highlighted that the top travel destinations experiencing heightened demand include Dubai, Cairo, Jeddah, Istanbul, and Doha.

Ensuring a seamless travel experience, Al-Rajhi assured that all entities operating at Kuwait International Airport are well-prepared to offer facilities and cooperation to both travelers and airlines, aiming to guarantee their utmost satisfaction throughout their journey.
