KUWAIT CITY, Aug 17: A nine-year-old child drowned in a swimming pool at a stable in Kabad -- a tragic incident that shook the locals. According to a security source, the Operations Unit in the Interior Ministry received information about the incident. Security and emergency medical personnel rushed the site, where it was discovered that the child had drowned in the pool. He was quickly taken from the pool and transported to the hospital, but he died despite rescue efforts. The source stated that the competent authorities opened an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the incident, amid calls to tighten safety measures at such locations to protect children and prevent the recurrence of such tragedies.
