KUWAIT CITY, March 21: The Public Relations Department in Kuwait Municipality has announced the removal of 84 violating election advertisements, reports Al-Jarida daily. According to the department, 31 election advertisements were installed without a license and 53 were displayed outside the area designated for the 2024 National Assembly election candidates in Jahra Governorate. A team from the Audit and Services Follow-up Department in the Municipality branch in Jahra Governorate carried out an inspection campaign as per the law.

This led to the removal of many election advertisements from the roads outside the walls of electoral headquarters or the streets in residential areas, as well as the removal of random advertisements from streets and squares, and advertisements not licensed by the Municipality. The Municipality confirmed that the supervisory teams are intensifying their field campaigns in the governorates to remove unauthorized and random election advertisements throughout the election period. The Municipality added that inspectors are continuously monitoring violating advertisements to remove them immediately, stressing the need to adhere to the law to avoid legal problems and payment of fines.
