80 kilos of hashish seized

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 11: Customs officers recently aborted an attempt to smuggle 80 kilos of hashish and cannabis into the country, reports Al-Rai daily. According to the Doha customs officials the bill of lading said ‘animal fodder’ but the cargo looked suspicious and the authorities demanded to check the packets.
To the surprise of inspectors hashish and cannabis was found neatly hidden inside the bags. The truck driver and the contraband have been seized. In the meantime police investigations are ongoing to arrest the rest of the men involved in the ‘trade’.
