KUWAIT CITY, July 30: The Criminal Court, presided over by Counselor Nayef Al-Dahoum, has upheld a seven-year prison sentence with hard labor for a female citizen previously convicted in absentia. The sentence is related to a major money laundering case involving 28 million dinars.

The court also imposed a fine of 1,152,100 dinars on the accused. In addition, the court has mandated that she compensate 28 victims, each receiving 5,001 dinars, for being falsely implicated in the case.

The decision reaffirms the severity of the court's stance on financial crimes and underscores its commitment to addressing the repercussions on victims.
