KUWAIT CITY, June 1: Security officers took control of an altercation which turned into a bloody fight involving seven citizens in Naseem. Those involved in the altercation exchanged punches and they used stones and sharp objects to attack each other. The fight continued at the casualty room in Jahra Hospital, prompting the hospital management to request for security officers to quell the altercation and referred those involved to the competent authorities.

According to a security source, there was an ongoing altercation between two groups of young people in Naseem in Jahra and this altercation developed into an exchange of beatings, which resulted in injuries. The source added that when the altercation ended in Naseem, both parties headed to Jahra Hospital for treatment. When they arrived at the hospital, they exchanged blows once again. The source added that one of the parties attacked and insulted a security officer with the rank of first sergeant, so the latter filed an insult case against him at Naeem Police Station. The source stated that both parties presented medical reports explaining the injuries they sustained and began filing cases against each other.
