68 applicants win stalls in ‘Al-Hareem’ market

KUWAIT CITY, March 21: In confirmation to the report published in Al-Seyassah on February 17, Kuwait Municipality announced that 68 applicants won stalls in the women’s market (Souk Al-Hareem) through a lottery in Souk Mubarakiya. The municipality explained that Director General Saud Al-Dabbous called on the markets committee to expedite work on completing the conditions and controls for investing in the Hareem Market. The step was aimed at reviving the market so that it could return due to the historical heritage it carries in the heart of the Souk Mubarakiya. The committee supervised the lottery for the market stalls Tuesday morning after 90 investors who met the conditions of the public markets list applied. The new stall owners will begin their activities in the market on April 1 after concluding their contracts with the Ministry of Finance
