KUWAIT CITY, Sep 29: A 6-year-old boy was rushed to Jahra Hospital by ambulance after several of his fingers were severed while he was with his family on a farm in the Abdali area. After receiving first aid, he was transferred to Al-Razi Hospital for further treatment. Authorities at Al-Qashaniya Police Station were alerted, and the case was referred to the Investigation Office at Saad Al-Abdullah City Police Station.
The incident is currently under investigation to determine the factors that led to the child’s injury, including the malfunction of an air-pumping machine used to inflate balloon toys, which pulled the child’s hand due to its suction force.
Initial medical reports revealed that the child’s right hand suffered multiple amputations, including the little finger, ring finger, middle finger, and index finger. A follow-up report from Al-Razi Hospital’s Accident Clinic confirmed that the little finger was severely damaged. The child has been admitted to the hospital and is now in stable condition.
