6 new deaths; 589 more infected from coronavirus

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 31: Kuwait Ministry of Health reported 6 deaths and 589 cases due to COVID-19. The death toll climbed up to 779 and the infected cases to 125,926, health ministry data showed.
According to ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, the number of people hospitalized with the virus stands at 8,285; 110 of whom in intensive care units.
Al-Sanad added that 5,171 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hrs, with a total of 916,525 so far.
Meanwhile, some 660 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours to raise the total to 116,862, the ministry said.
