550,194 Kuwaitis obtain KD 14.7 billion in loans

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 7: The Central Bank of Kuwait revealed, in its latest statistics, that 550,194 Kuwaitis obtaining consumer and installment loans, reports Al-Jarida daily. The daily added the loan portfolio provided to citizens was 14.7 billion dinars, with 13 billion housing loans and 1.7 billion consumer loans and that 2.3 percent defaulted in payment. The Central Bank explained that the degree of regularity in repaying loans on the part of citizens amounted to about 97.5% of the total value of loan
