KUWAIT CITY, April 17: Ministry of Education has decided to hire Kuwaiti citizens in educational, administrative and technical positions during the 2019/2020 fiscal year, as it requested Civil Service Commission (CSC) for candidates for 4,893 positions in order to meet the ministry’s need, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting an informed source. He explained that this is the highest number that has been requested when compared to the requests of other state institutions.
The opening of new schools and the shortage of teaching staff for a number of specializations are the reasons behind the request for such high number of staff. Also, the ministry has been imposed with strict pressure to increase the appointment of Kuwaitis and dispose of as many expatriates as possible.
