KUWAIT CITY, Aug 29: British Ambassador to Kuwait Belinda Lewis has announced that 48,239 Kuwaitis obtained electronic travel authorization (ETA) since the service was launched in February until the end of June. In a press statement, Lewis disclosed the statistics showed that Kuwaitis are the second among the citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in obtaining ETA, after the citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
She added “The United Kingdom’s launching of ETA for Kuwaitis, other GCC nationals and Jordanians reflects our desire to continue strengthening ties that support our special relations with this region. People who obtained ETA now enjoy the flexibility to make multiple short-term visits to the United Kingdom for tourism, work, study or treatment within two years.”
