41pc borrowers opt for deferred payment of cash

KUWAIT CITY, May 23: Kuwait Credit Bank has announced 63,118 customers have accepted the offer for deferred payment out of a total of 154,501 borrowers, at a rate of 41 percent, with when the offer date expired, reports Al-Jarida daily. The bank stated, the total value of the deferred installments is approximately 44.104 million dinars, which have been postponed based on Law No. 3 of 2021 for a period of six months.

The bank added the requests to defer installments payments were made through the bank’s online portal and the mobile application, in addition to receiving the elderly (65 years and over), people with disabilities, families of prisoners, martyrs and heirs by reviewing the bank branch to which the customer belongs according to the card address between April 18 and May 18. The bank pointed out that for those who applied for the postponement before May 4, the installment delay would apply from May until October 2021, and whoever applied for the postponement after May 4, the installment delay would apply from June to November 2021.
