KUWAIT CITY, Sept 23: Mohammed Al-Farsi, the Deputy Chairman of Kuwaiti Sports Bowling Club, has revealed that the upcoming Men’s and Women’s Bowling World Championships, scheduled to take place in Kuwait in October, will see the participation of approximately 400 athletes, representing 24 men’s teams and 12 women’s teams. As the tournament director, Al- Farsi emphasized that the presence of the world’s top-ranked players, both male and female, at the Bowling World Championships highlights the event’s significance as the most prestigious and highest-ranked competition in the sport. It also offers substantial prize money to the winners.

He went on to explain that Kuwait’s successful bid to host the championship can be attributed to its possession of all the necessary elements for a successful organization. The Bowling Club Complex, a remarkable facility considered one of the finest in the Middle East, has the capacity to accommodate a large number of distinguished players.

The championship is expected to feature top-tier technical performances. Al-Farsi also pointed out that all the organizing committees are diligently working to ensure the event’s preparation and equipment meet international standards. They aim to present the championship in a manner that befits Kuwait’s sporting reputation and its proven ability to host major international sports events.

He affirmed that the club’s board of directors, led by Sheikh Talal Al- Mohammad Al-Sabah, has worked tirelessly to overcome the challenges involved in organizing this global sports event. They have provided ample assurances to the international federation to guarantee the hosting’s success. Additionally, the organizing committee plans to stage a special opening ceremony for the championship that celebrates the diverse cultures of the world.
