3,953 violating workers seized

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 13: Recent statistics issued by the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) revealed that the joint quartet committee led by the authority with representatives from the ministries of interior and trade, and Kuwait Municipality, from the beginning of 2020 until the end of last September conducted 321 inspection trips covering all regions of the country, during which they seized 3,953 workers in violation, reports Al-Jarida daily.
According to statistics, 2,617 of those arrested for violations were from private sector and holding Article (18) residency permit and 1,336 domestic workers, constituting 35 percent of the total number of violators.
