328 Expats arrested, liquor factories raided

KUWAIT CITY, Jun 10: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) declared Friday that the public security arrested 328 law offenders and two factories manufacturing local liquor, during security campaigns aiming to pursue those who are wanted and law violators. Al Ahmadi Governorate’s security forces carried out a campaign in Al-Wafra and Mina Abdullah areas and arrested 162 people with varied violations, the Ministry’s security media and public relations department said in a statement.

In Al Farwaniyah Governorate, the security forces arrested 166 people, including 109 ones for expired residence and three others for having narcotics as well as other violations, it added.
The campaigns carried out by the ministry come upon the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah aiming to impose security nationwide, and arrest the outlaws and residence violators, the statement noted. The traffic and security campaigns are ongoing nationwide with the aim of arresting law offenders to as to maintain security and safety for both citizens and expats, it made clear (KUNA)
