KUWAIT CITY, May 21: The Ministry of Interior continued its security campaigns as per the instructions of Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah. The Criminal Investigations General Department at the Criminal Security Sector in the ministry and the Farwaniya Investigations Department carried out an extensive security campaign in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. This campaign led to the arrest of 301 individuals wanted by law, 249 of whom were deported immediately.
The ministry stated that this campaign was launched in cooperation with several concerned State agencies to apprehend individuals wanted by law or anyone who committed violations. The campaign resulted in 191 seizure reports and 78 citations issued by the Environment Public Authority (EPA), 495 citations issued by the Kuwait Municipality, 238 closure notices issued by Kuwait Fire Force (KFF), 121 electricity connections cut due to violations, and 152 residency investigations conducted by the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM).
The ministry confirmed that such campaigns are conducted daily to combat all forms of violations, enhance security, and maintain public order. A security source revealed that those arrested in these campaigns who violated the Residency Law, engaged in illegal labor, or worked for others (not their sponsors) are deported immediately, and strict legal measures are taken against their sponsors.
