KUWAIT CITY, Dec 7, (Agencies): Today, the General Administration of Customs sanctioned the retirement of approximately 130 employees, whose service spans between 30 to 40 years, meeting the retirement criteria outlined in Article (76) of the civil service system.
The Administration revealed that the retirement decisions, scheduled for implementation by the year's end, encompass both regular employees and those occupying supervisory roles within the "Customs" department. This initiative is part of a broader strategic effort by "Customs" to infuse fresh talent across its diverse divisions, aligning with the objectives of the development plan.
It was emphasized that this measure not only opens up new employment prospects for the younger Kuwaitis but also presents opportunities for national talents to actively contribute to the progress and enhancement of public administration. Ultimately, this concerted effort is expected to usher in a planned qualitative transformation for "Customs" in the upcoming period.
