KUWAIT CITY, May 26: Acting on information, firemen from four fire centers rushed to the farm of the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) in Abdullah Al-Mubarak and contained the fire before it caused extensive damage, reports Al-Anba daily. The Kuwait Fire Services Directorate (KFSD) said the operations room received a report at 12:06 about the fire which had spread over 5,000 square meters of the total 100,000 square meters area.

KFSD pointed out the fire broke out in an agricultural nursery containing reserves, feed and agricultural supplies. However, no casualties have been recorded, but 3 firefighters were treated for exhaustion from heat and referred to a hospital. KFSD said the firemen faced some difficulty because the fire engines could not reach the fire. The firemen then used bulldozers to make the way and reach the site of the fire. Investigations are underway to identify the cause of the fire.
