SYDNEY, Oct 15, (Xinhua): Three people have been found dead following a house fire in the northeast Australian state of Queensland on Wednesday morning. Fire and rescue crews were deployed to the fire at a two-storey home in the city of Gladstone, over 400 kilometers north of Brisbane, around 6 am local time on Wednesday.
The residence was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived and partially collapsed before the fire was brought under control. The bodies of three people, who were initially reported missing, were found during a subsequent search. Authorities were unsure what had caused the fire. Police established a crime scene at the property and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fire.
