KUWAIT CITY, Feb 2: The Indian ambassador to Kuwait, Sibi George revealed that 250 Indian prisoners in Kuwait will be transferred to India to complete their sentences in their country. He further stated that there was a memorandum of understanding between the two countries regarding exchange and transfer of prisoners.

The list of those prisoners who will be deported has been completed, and these prisoners will be handed over to the Indian government in coordination with prisons in Indian states so that these prisoners could complete their sentences in their home states of India, reports Al Rai.

He praised the fruitful meeting which he had with Kuwaiti Attorney General Counselor Dirar Al Asousi, which they discussed about issues of transferring convicted prisoners and other issues related to Indian community in Kuwait
