KUWAIT CITY, Dec 8: The traffic sector continues its campaigns which are aimed at implementing the traffic law, reports Al-Anba daily. The campaigns conducted over the past week resulted in arresting 25 persons for driving without licenses and the arrest of 70 others for committing serious traffic violations and the issuance of 19,732 citations.

According to a security source, the Special Operations Department of the General Traffic Department has issued 2,172 violations, impounded 11 vehicles and two motorcycles and arrested 14 drivers for committing serious traffic offences, arrested two minors for driving without licence and seized two cars wanted by law. The campaigns were organized upon instructions of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Issam Al-Naham, and under the supervision of the Assistant Undersecretary for Operations and Traffic, Major General Jamal Al-Sayegh.
