KUWAIT CITY, Dec 8: The number of official holidays on the occasion of Independence Day, Liberation Day, the anniversary of Isra and Mi'raj. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday ie 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th of February will be a holiday on the occasion of the National Day, Liberation Day and the anniversary of Isra and Mi'raj, reports Al Anba

The anniversary of Isra and Mi’raj coincides with Saturday, February 18, and there is a decision in effect from the Council of Ministers to transfer the Isra’ and Mi’raj holiday every year if it falls between two working days to immediate following Thursday, and therefore corresponding Thursday, February 23 will be a holiday instead of Saturday, February 18, as it is a official holiday.  The holiday begins from Thursday, February 23 to Monday, February 27, and work will officially resume on Tuesday, February 28.

New Year's holiday includes Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays ie December 30 and 31 and January 1, respectively, with work officially resuming on Monday, January 2.
