239 Arrested In Kuwait’s Nationwide Security Sweep

KUWAIT CITY, June 26: In line with the directives of His Excellency the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, and under the direct supervision of Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Ali Misfer Al-Adwani, the General Department of Residence Affairs Investigations launched intensive field security campaigns across all governorates on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.

The coordinated operations resulted in the arrest of 239 individuals, including residency and labor law violators as well as wanted persons. The campaign forms part of a comprehensive security strategy to apprehend violators, monitor illegal workers, and curb negative practices that threaten social stability.

Legal actions have been taken against all detainees, who have been referred to the appropriate authorities for further procedures.

The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the law and maintaining public security. It stressed that ongoing campaigns will continue across all regions, with zero tolerance toward violations. The Ministry also warned that legal accountability extends to both workers and their employers.
