23,000 traffic violations blocks lifted

KUWAIT CITY, March 11: Brigadier General Nawaf Al-Hayan, Director of the Traffic Awareness Department at the General Traffic Department, revealed that 23,000 traffic violation blocks were lifted and fines for about 2,000 violations were collected during Gulf Traffic Week which was held under the theme ‘Your Life is Trust’, and concluded with various activities aimed at promoting traffic safety, reports Al-Rai daily. Al-Hayan stated that the Unified Gulf Traffic Week saw the receipt of feedback from citizens and residents, along with the dissemination of traffic instructions during exhibitions held at the Avenues and Al-Khairan malls.

He emphasized the department’s commitment to educating the public, highlighting initiatives such as visits to patients involved in accidents, lectures at Kuwait University, and dedicated exhibitions attended by approximately 30,000 individuals. Al-Hayan expressed gratitude to citizens and residents for their cooperation in adhering to traffic laws and helping reduce accidents.
