KUWAIT CITY, Feb 7: The occupational safety specialist at the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) Engr Hanan Al-Muhammad says the number of inspections carried out by the field team in charge of following up and monitoring the implementation of health requirements in commercial activities involving women amounted to 21,449, says Al-Seyassah.

In a press statement issued during her tour of eight hotels in Hawally Governorate, she revealed that 3,860 warnings were issued and 407 violations were cited during the inspection tours of the field team, adding that two orders were issued to close some salons for ladies that did not comply with the procedures that were issued, from last August until last Saturday.

Engr Al-Muhammad stressed that these inspection tours are aimed to ensure all necessary health procedures and requirements are being observed in a bid to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus. She indicated that there is a good level of awareness and cooperation from hotels, as the inspection visits focus on ensuring social distancing between individuals, provision of sanitizers and disinfectants, checking temperature, and wearing masks.
