GAZA, Oct 7: Asharf Al-Qudra, the spokesman of the Palestinian health authority, said in a statement that 1,610 Palestinians were also wounded in the recurring Israeli air strikes on the strip and the city. Israeli warplanes, shortly after Palestinian Hamas fighters burst into a number of Israeli outposts around the enclave killing a number of Israelis and capturing others, carried out a chain of strikes on Gaza city and the enclave. Tel Aviv said the fighter jets bombed buildings occupied by Hamas, the group that took credit for launching today's operation against the Israeli outposts, labeled "Al-Aqsa flood." (KUNA)
