1,790 traffic violations and multiple arrests in latest security and traffic operation

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 30: As part of ongoing efforts to enhance security and order in the country, the Ministry of Interior conducted a security and traffic campaign on major roads and highways early Thursday morning, November 28, 2024.

The campaign involved multiple field departments, including the General Traffic Department, the General Department of Rescue Police, the Public Security Sector, and the Special Security Sector.

The campaign yielded the following results:

- 1,790 traffic violations issued

- 9 individuals arrested for absconding

- 11 individuals arrested under outstanding arrest warrants

-  12 individuals detained for violating residency and labor laws

- 1 person apprehended with narcotics in possession

-   3 wanted vehicles seized

- 41 traffic-offending vehicles impounded

-  4 minors referred to Juvenile Investigations

The Ministry of Interior affirmed that these campaigns are part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at enhancing security and public order. The efforts will continue to target violators and wanted individuals to ensure a safe and stable environment across all regions of the country.
