KUWAIT CITY, Jan 30: About 156 general attorneys were unexpectedly referred for retirement without any prior notice, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting informed sources. They said this issue has created a huge gap and a number of vacancies in leading positions as well as hindered the workflow.

The sources explained that all ministries have been gradually applying the law of retiring those who spent 30 and more years in service without disturbing the workflow and to ensure those with experience are retained for as long as possible. They revealed that two of the attorneys who retired have financial commitments and their sudden retirement will put them in financial crises.

Meanwhile, Undersecretary of Ministry of Interior Lieutenant General Suleiman Al-Fahad held a number of meetings with security officials during which he approved a plan for the field distribution of ministry officials during the national holidays, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting informed source.

During one of those meetings, Lieutenant General Al-Fahad insisted that no one should be allowed to tamper with the celebrations of the national holidays. The source affirmed that the ministry has approved an unprecedented plan for distribution of security elements in all major locations where celebrations of the national holidays will take place. In addition, clear instructions were given for the strict application of the law. Lieutenant General Al-Fahad demanded security officials to monitor the security situation round the clock through their presence on the field.
