15 more individuals lose their Kuwait citizenship

KUWAIT CITY, July 26: The Supreme Committee for the Investigation of Kuwaiti Citizenship, during its recent meeting chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, decided to revoke the citizenship of several individuals, pending approval by the Council of Ministers, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a press statement, the Ministry of Interior clarified that the decision includes revocations based on dual nationality, fraudulent acquisition through false statements or forgery, and cases deemed necessary for the protection of the country’s higher interests. In a related development, the official gazette “Kuwait Al-Youm” recently published two decisions for revoking the citizenship of 15 individuals. The first decision, issued under Article 10 of the Nationality Law, revoked the citizenship of one woman. The second decision, issued under Article 11 of the same law, revoked the citizenship of 10 women and four men
