15 injured as mini-bus plunges into ravine in E. Afghanistan

KABUL, Oct 7, (Xinhua): At least 15 commuters were injured, some in critical condition, as a mini-bus plunged into a ravine in eastern Afghanistan's Kapisa province on Tuesday, provincial police spokesman Abdul Fatah Faiz said.

The mishap took place in Alasai district, Faiz said, blaming reckless driving for the accident. All the injured commuters had been shifted to a nearby hospital, he added. Earlier, similar accidents claimed one life and injured 10 others in the central Daikundi and northern Balkh provinces on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
