KUWAIT CITY, July 30: The Egyptian Ministry of Immigration says 13 laboratories have been designated to issue the ‘PCR’ (Corona Clearance Certificate) for workers that will return to Kuwait during the coming period, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a statement , Egyptian Minister of Immigration Nabila Makram confirmed she has contacted the concerned officials at the Kuwait Airways Corporation on the issue of Egyptian employees whose services have been terminated, and the company explained that it had paid each employee salaries of 3 months (notice period) without work, and had also demanded that the employees settle their electricity and phone bills in addition to bank dues if any, after which the salaries of two more months will be paid to them.

Makram said the problem of the employees lies in the fact that some of them had taken loans from the banks to be repaid over a period of ten years. She added, after the termination of their services they will not be able to repay these loans nor will they be able to leave Kuwait for this reason.

However, she noted the concerned officials at ‘Kuwaitiya’ has informed the employees that there are facilities that the bank will provide to those who wish to negotiate loans
