12 deaths, 1,235 more infected with coronavirus

KUWAIT, April 3 : Kuwait registered on Saturday 12 deaths and 1,235 new positive cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the past 24 hours. The spokesman of Kuwait’s Health Ministry Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said to KUNA that this brings the country’s infections tally to 235,989 while the death toll swelled to 1,339.
He added that 1,264 people have recovered from the virus over the past hours, bringing the total recoveries to 220,521.
Moreover, he has indicated that 239 people are in intensive care units (ICUs), while 14,129 others are still receiving medical treatment.
Dr. Al-Sanad has furthermore pointed out that 8,710 swab tests were conducted in the past 24 hours, bringing the total examinations to 2,084,208 (KUNA)
