KUWAIT CITY, April 13: The Ministry of Interior continued its efforts to pursue drug dealers and promoters with close supervision from First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Talal Al-Khalid Al-Sabah. The General Administration for Drug Control seized 11 individuals in 8 cases of drug trafficking, including 6 Kuwaitis, 4 Bedouns, and an Egyptian expatriate.

In one case, 3 Kuwaitis were caught with a kilo of hashish, narcotic pills, 100 grams of narcotic drugs, and ammunition. In another case, a Kuwaiti was caught in possession of two and a half kilos of hashish, Captagon pills, 20 grams of shabu, and a sensitive scale in the Sabah Al-Salem area. Another case involved a Bedoun youth who was ambushed in the Sabah Al-Nasser area, caught with a kilo of hashish, and admitted to selling narcotic substances for his own account.

A female Kuwaiti citizen with a history of drug-related offenses was caught in the Jabriya area with one and a half kilos of hashish, a electronic scale, and drug paraphernalia. Two bedoun individuals were caught trafficking drugs and promoting them to young people in the Sulaibiya area, with half a kilo of chemical, 100 grams of cannabis, narcotic pills, Kalashnikov bullets, and a pistol seized.

An Egyptian expatriate promoting narcotic substances in the Khaitan region was caught with 50 grams of shabu and a sensitive scale, admitting to distributing drugs to users in popular cafes and central markets. A citizen in his thirties was caught with a quarter kilo of marijuana and cocaine in the Salwa area. Lastly, a Bedoun youth promoting narcotic substances in the Jaber Al-Ahmad area was caught with 30 grams of ashes, narcotic pills, and a sensitive scale.

All defendants caught red-handed and in possession of narcotic substances confessed to drug trafficking during interrogation and were referred to the Public Prosecution.
