KUWAIT CITY, Aug 25: The General Fire Force conducted a two-day inspection campaign in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, the Public Authority for Industry, and the Kuwait Municipality. The campaign aimed to monitor buildings and facilities for compliance with safety and fire prevention regulations.
The inspections led to the administrative closure of 106 industrial facilities and shops and the issuance of 174 notifications to other establishments that failed to meet fire safety requirements.
On Monday, August 25, 2025, the campaign issued 94 notifications, closed 57 establishments and shops, and issued two warnings. On Sunday, August 24, 2025, inspections resulted in 49 administrative closures, 74 notifications, and four warnings to shops and establishments.
