KUWAIT CITY, Dec 22: According to the statistics issued by the General Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior 10,000 citations were issued this year for lack of paying attention while driving or other distractions, until the end of November, which works 30 citations per day on an average, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The sources said as per the investigations a majority of traffic accidents occur due to lack of attention or preoccupation with other issues while driving, pointing out that the traffic accident may occur within two seconds only, because of the driver’s preoccupation with the mobile phone, or anything else.

The sources indicated that “everyone who does not respect the traffic law is considered reckless, and called driving a deadly weapon for anyone who misuses it.”
