Woman reports Kuwaiti youth for harassing

KUWAIT CITY, April 19: An unidentified Kuwaiti youth has been detained at the Khaldiya Police Station for harassing a young compatriot woman, reports Al- Rai daily.

The daily added, the youth was arrested after the woman called her father and told him the youth followed her until she went to a cooperative society and insisted to take down her cell phone number. The father then called the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry and the police were on the spot in just three minutes.

The girl told police she had a flat tyre when on her way home and the youth helped her fix it. He then, without her knowledge followed her and waited for her outside a cooperative society until she did her shopping and insisted to take down her cell phone number.

Although the youth said he had good intentions and wanted to ask her hand in marriage, police dragged him to the police station.
