KUWAIT CITY, Sept 10: Two Kuwaiti citizens and a Kuwaiti woman were arrested in Salmiya area for consuming and possessing drugs, says Al- Seyassah. According to security sources, Hawally securitymen were patrolling Salmiya area at night when they noticed a vehicle with three occupants parked in front of a building. They checked the details of the individuals to discover they are all Kuwaiti citizens who were in a disoriented state. When the vehicle was checked, drugs were discovered. The suspects were arrested and referred with the drugs to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen was arrested for consuming liquor and possessing two bottles of locally manufactured liquor. He was detained in Salmiya Police Station for necessary action.
Liquor bottles seized: A Lebanese woman was arrested at Kuwait International Airport in possession of seven bottles of imported liquor, reports Al- Shahed daily. When the Customs officer discovered the bottles and questioned her, she said, “The cost of liquor in Kuwait is very high” and that was the reason why she bought liquor at cheaper costs from overseas. She was arrested and referred with the liquor bottles to the concerned authorities where necessary measures were taken against her.
‘Mandoub’ robbed: An unknown individual stole KD 500 from the car of an Egyptian expatriate who works as the mandoub of a company in Farwaniya area, says Al-Seyassah. In his complaint, the victim said he was shocked to find one of the windows of his vehicle broken. He checked the vehicle and realized KD 500 cash was missing.
